The State Level Empowered Committee headed by the Vice Chairman, State Planning Commission and comprising of all Members of the  State Planning Commission and related Secretaries to Government shall approve the Perspective Plan and Annual Action Plans prepared for blocks/wards and shall accord sanctions for individual project or sub-projects as and when proposals are received from districts/Corporation. The committee will also be the Steering Committee to monitor, review and evaluate the implementation of the programme.
The State Level Empowered Committee will comprise of

• All the Members of State Planning Commission
• Secretary to Government (Finance)
• Secretary to Government (Planning & Development)
• Secretary to Government (Health)
• Secretary to Government (School Education)
• Secretary to Government (Rural Development & Panchayat Raj)
• Secretary to  Government (Municipal Administration & Water Supply)

The Committee shall approve  the Perspective Plan and Annual Action Plans prepared for blocks/wards and shall accord sanctions for individual projects or sub-projects as and when proposals are received from Districts/Corporation. The Committee may invite other the concerned Secretaries to Government to attend. This Committee will also be the Steering Committee to monitor, review and evaluate the implementation of the programme.
